The Cademuir Clinic is conveniently located in the lovely town of Peebles in the western Scottish Borders, yet only 22 miles from Edinburgh. The Borders first private GP clinic was opened in April 2022 but has recently moved into superb new ground floor premises in Silverbirch Studios, Cavalry Park. With dentists, physiotherapists, chiropractors, massage therapists, Reike, reflexology and yoga studio also located in Cavalry Park, many of your other health and fitness related needs are conveniently located here too.
Very much a family practice, The Cademuir Clinic is independently owned and run by husband and wife team Ross and Elizabeth Stewart. With private parking, modern, spacious and well-equipped waiting and treatment rooms; the whole experience is made to be as pleasant, comfortable and relaxing as possible for you.
First class primary care means getting an appointment with the doctor when you need to, with a highly respected ‘family doctor’ who is experienced in all aspects of primary healthcare. You can also choose how and where you want to see the doctor too – that could be in the clinic, at home or via a virtual consultation when you are at work or on holiday. Whether that’s a single issue or there are multiple issues that you would like to get to the bottom of, perhaps an ECG, a blood test or joint injection. As well as an extensive range of vaccinations to keep you fully immunised and effective help with weight loss management.
Dr Stewart also provides many of the traditional practice services that the doctor used to offer and a full range of medicals and medical paperwork that you may occasionally need too.
But no matter what medical issue or condition that you need help with, The Cademuir Clinic enables you to get to know your doctor and the doctor to get to know you.
Cancellation Fees
The Clinic may request a late cancellation fee (if less than 24 hours notice) of £75.
Cancellation within 4 hours or failure to attend will incur full charge of booked time.

His good advice fills you with hope. My mother and I will recommend the Cademuir Practice to anybody that wants a first class treatment in comfortable surroundings.

6/12/2024Coming from a sporting background, I couldn’t recommend Dr Stewart enough. After falling ill for a number of weeks prior to an important international race and trying multiple doctors for help, which where not successful. Dr Stewart was able to help me make a strong recovery in a very short period of time, and I could then take part in the race. Which before I didn’t think was going to be possible. Dr Stewart picked up on some key things regarding my health problem that hadn’t been noticed by other doctors, showing his clear care towards every patient. It was obvious that his priority was to make sure his patients would make the best recovery possible. He is someone who is very easy to be around, and had a nice relaxed, professional environment which i believe is key. Thankyou Ross for all your help, it’s so much appreciated from me and my family.

5/16/2024As a family we can’t recommend Dr Stewart enough, my son has visited countless doctors since the age of 12 both through the NHS and private and not one of them came close to diagnosing him. After 2 thorough visits and tests with Dr Stewart we were hopeful he would be able to help - to which he did. We went back down for a consultation and he talked us through what was causing the issues and now my son 19 is able to recognise when he needs medicine and what to take to prevent becoming unwell. We are very thankful to Dr Stewart , he is a very considerate and compassionate Doctor I have nothing but kind words to say about him and would recommend his services to everyone. Thank you again Dr Stewart my son can live his life fully again and it is Fantastic to see .

5/8/2024The Cademuir Clinic is outstanding, Dr Stewarts approach is exactly as he has been described, “an old fashioned GP” traditional values with the benefits of modern medicine. The Clinic is extremely comfortable and inviting, the service is both personal and professional, I can truly recommend Dr Stewart, and I would not hesitate to come under his care in the future.

9/18/2023Went to see Dr Ross Stewart today, who’s new clinic is top class. A lovely well appointed waiting and surgery area. Ross took the time to listen and his examination and advice was as you would expect first rate. In a world where it is difficult to get to see a doctor, Ross has a service that is first rate all the way. Best of luck Ross and I would thoroughly recommend him. AF
