Specialising in knee and hip surgeries, Rahul focuses on primary, complex primary, and revision knee procedures, including ACL reconstruction, meniscal repairs, meniscectomies, and patellar dislocations. He is also proficient in primary and complex primary hip replacements.

Rahul is a highly skilled consultant orthopaedic surgeon with advanced fellowship training from leading centers of excellence in the UK. He has had the privilege of working alongside some of the best surgeons in the field before returning to Scotland as a consultant orthopaedic surgeon.

Rahul holds a leadership position as the governance lead for the Department of Trauma & Orthopaedics at NHS Tayside, where he also contributes to the education and training of registrars and international MCh students. His passion for patient care extends to his use of enhanced recovery protocols, allowing most joint replacement patients to return home the day after surgery. For knee arthroscopy procedures such as ACL reconstructions and meniscal surgeries, patients often return home the same day.

  I’ve recently just had a ACL reconstruction surgery at Elanic, the waiting time with the NHS at the moment was almost 3 years for the same surgery, Elanic were able to do it within 4 weeks of my first consultation the staff were brilliant with me from the DR duray who did my procedure to the staff at the front desk and the nurses that looked after me over night, they couldn’t have been more helpful, very responsive when I have need to check up with them over the phone and so helpful. Would recommend to anyone in need of surgery, they have been a joy to work with.

  I just had my breast augmentation surgery and I have very positive experiences with Elanic. Kimberley the nurse is an angel, she took care of me from the very beginning and walked me to the door after my surgery , she is very nice and professional, thanks to you Kimberley I stopped stressing. The surgeon, anaesthetist and nurses who looked after me that day were all very professional and nice. The clinic has a lovely and very professional team and has really changed my life for the better.

Appointment Cancellations

At least 48 hours notice (before the start of your appointment) is required for free cancellation or re-arrangement. If you cancel your appointment with less than 48 hours notice charges may apply.

If you cancel with less than 48 hours until your appointment, any pre-payment collected by Elanic Clinic will not be refundable.

Appointment Rescheduling

If re-schedule appointments within 48 (working) hours, there will be a re-scheduling fee due which will be the same as your initial pre-payment amount. Where no pre-payment has been taken a charge of £50 may be applied in order to confirm your re-scheduled appointment.

Lateness

We regret, that we cannot guarantee your appointment slot if you do not arrive on time. We will try our hardest to fit you into the schedule, but this may not always be possible. If we are unable to fulfil your appointment because you have not arrived on time, it may not always be possible to receive a full refund for your pre-payment or deposit.

Missed Appointments

If you are unable to attend your appointment, please do let us know. Should you miss your appointment without letting us know 48 (working) hours in advance, we may not be able to provide a full refund for your pre-payment or deposit.
