Dr Raeburn Forbes

Dr Forbes has 20 years' experience as a consultant neurologist and offers expert medico-legal opinion on neurological issues including epilepsy, head injury, whiplash, headaches, dementia. He is qualified to assist with medico-legal expertise in cases from England, Wales , Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Dr Forbes has been a Consultant Neurologist at The Southern HSC Trust since January 2005. He graduated from The University of Dundee Medical School (MBChB 1992) and completed his doctorate in 2000, graduating MD(Hons).

His clinical training in general neurology was through the Regional Neurology Unit in the Royal Victoria Hospital, gaining a CCST in Adult Neurology in July 2003. His other role is developing pathways for early assessment of neurological symptoms referred from primary care and he is responsible for teaching neurology to trainee General practitioners in Northern Ireland. He is in clinical practice in general neurology in a large acute hospital, oversees specialist clinics in epilepsy and has a private practice based in The Ulster Independent Clinic Belfast and Hillsborough Private Clinic. He does not do video consultations.
