Biography
Dr Hughes studied Medicine from 2012 - 2017 at the University of Dundee Medical School. He was previously a Chair of the Scottish Junior Doctors Committee at the British Medical Association and is an alumnus of the Healthcare Leadership Academy.
He has trained in Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow and the surrounding areas. He has experience of providing care in the Outer Hebrides and in the South of England. He is currently a Medical Registrar working in the West of Scotland and has achieved Membership of the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom.
Dr Hughes is passionate about great care and strives to connect people with the right care for them without excessive waiting times. He brings his own experience as a patient with Type 1 Diabetes to his practice and this has inspired him to improve the quality of care wherever he can.
