Biography
Mr. Craig Murray is a Consultant ENT Surgeon based in Greater Glasgow and Clyde, primarily at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley. He graduated from Glasgow University in 1988 and completed his training in the West of Scotland. His specializations include otology and disorders related to hearing and balance. Fifteen years ago, he established the balance center at his hospital, where he has been instrumental in promoting the treatment of balance disorders and enhancing recovery, alongside providing diagnostic services.
Mr. Murray has successfully restructured balance services both locally and across Scotland through collaboration with national steering groups. He addresses a wide range of otological issues, including hearing loss, discharge, and tinnitus, and performs surgical interventions for ear conditions when necessary.
He stays current with the broader spectrum of ENT conditions and has a strong background in education and training. He served as the local Training Program Director for the West of Scotland for six years and has advanced to Chair of the Specialty Advisory Council (SAC) for ENT, overseeing ENT training throughout the UK. He is a co-author of the new ENT curriculum and is a member of the executive council for ENTUK. Additionally, he actively participates as an examiner in the Intercollegiate exam and regularly teaches at the Glasgow Temporal Bone Course.
